A lot of groundwork was laid last week on The Flash. This leads to what looks to be an exciting episode this coming week on the show! Last week on The Flash we saw an explosive (literally) ending with Firestorm. The STAR Labs team attempts to separate the doctor and engineer, to give them their lives back. Did it work? This coming week answers that question. Last week, some effective detective work showed that the Scarlet Speedster may have been present at the murder of his mother, not just as a young boy, but as an adult as well. Are we going to see time travel soon as well?
Ep. 14 of The Flash “Fallout” sees *SPOILERS* Ronnie (Robbie Amell) and Dr. Stein (Victor Garber) separated. But General Eiling (Clancy Brown) is in pursuit, and they must soon decide if they are safer on their own, reunited with the women they love, or together. Meanwhile, we also begin to further explore time travel on The Flash as Barry (Grant Gustin) continues to push his powers in order to ultimately defeat Reverse Flash. Check out the promo for the next episode “Fallout” below.
See a special clip from next week’s episode of The Flash below as well:
In “The Flash: Rebirth” 6 comic mini-series by Geoff Johns, we saw Barry Allen return from the Speed Force, able to escape and return to his life on Earth years later, but unsure why. We quickly find that everything begins and ends with Barry, as the Speed Force is generated by him, stretching across all space and time. And the Negative Speed Force, within which Revere-Flash operates is dependent on the existence of Barry and the Speed Force. While Reverse Flash wants Barry to live, he wants to make every moment as miserable as possible, beginning with killing Barry’s mother and leading to his father dying in prison. Meanwhile we see in the Congo some activity in Gorilla City as they track the events of Barry and the other speedsters in their endeavors.
All this to make me wonder… how much of this story is bleeding into The Flash on CW? Are we already seeing some of these elements at work? What I do know… Grodd is coming. While this promo appears to show no new footage, just pooling past scenes, it teases that we will soon see more of this intelligent speaking gorilla with special powers.
Keep watching The Flash on CW on Tuesday nights at 8/7c.
